SOLUNA was a project where I collaborated with other design majors for a semester. We aimed to create a hotel, a mobile unit, and an extra component for NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. To gather ideas for experiential design, we had the opportunity to visit KSC and Disney.
We had the challenge of developing a concept and brand for all the parts of our project. My team and I came up with the luxurious SOLUNA Hotel + Spa. Our inspiration came from the Greek mythological gods Apollo and Artemis, who were in charge of the sun, the moon, and the different aspects that supported their values. We wanted to visually represent duality in our spaces by incorporating sun and moon symbols.
In this project, I focused on branding and art directing. I ensured that all designs aligned with the brand guide and that everything worked together cohesively. I created the primary and secondary logos, color palettes, and additional design collateral.
Brand guide
The hotel brand guide was created to help all project members maintain consistency and coherence while designing. It served as a reference for everyone involved in the project.
